Application and use

HERMA PE white PRINT combines the high print quality of coated paper with the durability of PE films. With HERMA PE white PRINT an excellent print quality can be achieved in all traditional printing methods such as flexo, letterpress, screen and offset printing. Furthermore the film is perfectly suited for subsequent inscription with matrix or thermal transfer printers using resin or resin/wax ribbons. With special wax or solvent based inks also inkjet imprint is possible. This white, matt PE film is perfect for permanent label application both indoor and outdoor. When labelling a PE surface the film may be recycled together with the packing. Due to the reduced inner stability the film splits when removing it from the labelled surface. It is thus often used as a safety label.

Recommended storage

Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.

Regulations concerning contact with food

HERMA PE white PRINT (grade 810) according to the sample material is considered safe to use for food packaging and may stand in direct contact to dry, aqueous, non-acid and fatty foodstuffs (ISEGA Research and Development Institute, Aschaffenburg).
